On May 29, The Chronicle of Higher Education quoted John Lewis in its article, “Why the Fall Will Be a Liability Minefield.” As the new academic year approaches, transparency and communicating clearly with enrolling students is critical in order to provide the best liability defense for colleges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“My guidance,” John said, “is to provide the potential students with as much information as you can, including potential options, and if they choose to opt in and accept these risks, that puts the schools in a better position legally.”
