On November 14, Heather Barnes spoke on an inventor and patent panel for The University of Akron’s “Inquire! Innovate! Invent!” event for students in grades 6-10. Interactive workshops showcased women inventors and involved participants in projects that relate to STEM occupations. The program was designed to teach students about the impact of innovations of women and inspire them to become inventors.
