On May 20, Dan Messeloff presented “My Time or Yours? The Changing Landscape of Compensable Time” at the 2021 Northern Ohio Human Resource Conference hosted by Cleveland SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Dan addressed the meaning of “time worked” – which is quickly evolving due to COVID-19, remote employees, and the gig economy – to assist HR professionals in understanding its legal definition, how it applies to a wide range of tasks performed by employees during these changing times, and how to determine whether employees should be paid for time spent performing various tasks.
