Carter Strang Receives KSU 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award

On October 17, Carter Strang received the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Kent State University (KSU) Alumni Association. The award recognizes and honors alumni who – through leadership, character, and hard work – have made exceptional contributions in their chosen field, in their communities, and at KSU. Carter is a KSU Alumni Association Life Member, an Honors College Alumni member, and has served several terms as a member of the Honors College Advisory Board. He is the founder of both the Leo E. Strang Student Athlete Award – named for his father, a former KSU head football coach – and the Bettie Strang Award for Excellence in the Arts – named for his mother, a former employee of the Honors College.
