On January 6, Howard Kroll was quoted in National Jeweler magazine on an effort by Verragio Ltd. to crack down on jewelry companies it says are copying its designs for diamond engagement rings.

“They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and it’s not,” Howard said. “It’s copyright infringement.”
