On April 19, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) quoted Dan Messeloff in its article, “HR’s Emerging Role in Required Human Capital Reporting.” The article discusses the role that human resources personnel at public companies play in contributing to public companies’ required human capital reporting in annual reports, mandated in 2020 by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

“Gone are the days when management could make decisions regarding human capital completely behind closed doors, with no risk and with complete disregard for the implications of those decisions in terms of diversity, pay equity, employee safety and the like,” Dan said, adding, “To an ever-increasing degree, investors are caring more and more about those measures.”
