Strang Elected Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation Vice President

June 2018

On June 6, Tucker Ellis partner Carter Strang was elected Vice President of Special Events of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation (CMBF). In this role, Mr. Strang will oversee CMBF special events, including its annual “Rock the Foundation” gala fundraiser, the Public Servants Luncheon, and its Halloween Run for Justice. Money raised by CMBF special events benefits the many Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) community outreach and diversity programs.

Mr. Strang chairs the CMBF Grant Committee and is a member of the CMBF Endowment Committee and CMBF Strategic Planning Committee. He is a past president of the CMBA (2012-2013) and originated its nationally acclaimed Louis Stokes Scholars Program, which provides paid summer legal internships for graduates of the Cleveland and East Cleveland Municipal School District. Mr. Strang also established the CMBA Green Initiative and continues to be a member of its Green Initiative Committee, which honored him with its 2017 Sustainability Award.

A mass tort and environmental law litigator, Mr. Strang coordinates the award-winning Tucker Ellis Pipeline Diversity Program, which he launched in 2006.
