For the second consecutive year, Tucker Ellis proudly sponsored the Annual Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) Pitch Night organized by Startups in the Sky. The competition was held on November 13 as part of an event series focused on connecting the Silicon Beach community to the emerging tech ecosystem of Downtown Los Angeles. Six startups were selected from over 50 applicants to take the stage and make their pitches before an expert panel of legal and funding experts. This year’s judging panel included Ndubisi Ezeolu of our Los Angeles office. The winning pitch was made by Expy Health, which provides a wearable device and mobile application to help orthopedic patients improve outcomes through surgery preparation and recovery tracking.
