Emily Jaye Johnson

Emily Johnson delivers dependable and perceptive representation for clients in litigation across a variety of industries.

Emily provides attentive guidance to businesses involved in contract disputes, commercial insurance and mass tort litigation, and health care regulatory matters. She routinely serves clients in complex litigation, including multidistrict litigation and class action defense. A natural problem-solver, Emily thrives when digging into complicated factual investigations, performing detailed and goal-oriented legal research, and drafting motions, from discovery to pre-trial to dispositive.

As a former Peace Corps volunteer stationed in Morocco, Emily collaborated with Ministry of Youth and Sports officials to build local youth network capacity and promote volunteerism and youth leadership. Through this enlightening experience, she learned how to break through cross-cultural barriers and bridge differences in opinions – critical attributes that continue to shape her law practice today.

During law school, Emily was a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice R. Patrick DeWine at the Supreme Court of Ohio. Previously, as an extern for an international human rights legal consulting firm, she honed her communications skills while serving high-stakes clients across the world and advocating on Capitol Hill. In this role, Emily researched and wrote reports on international property rights and expropriation claims and collaborated on news articles and white papers on international political prisoners.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys swimming laps, attending concerts, and entertaining her energetic German Shepherd-mix, Donner.
