Iain McAusland counsels clients with regard to all aspects of intellectual property strategy, including internal intellectual property capture and protection policies, patent prosecution, and intellectual property litigation.
Iain has experience with patent prosecution, patent litigation, patent opinions, freedom to operate analysis, and due diligence, as well as with the particular intellectual property issues facing venture-funded start-ups.
Iain concentrates his practice on fields combining high-tech with biotech or med-tech, such as medical devices, medical diagnostics, drug discovery systems, flow cytometry, antibody reagents, protein and DNA analysis, and DNA microarrays. He also has diverse experience working in fields such as computer hardware, software, middleware, telecommunications, programmable logic devices, robotics, and wafer fabrication technology.
