Nicole E. Braden Lewis

Nicole Braden Lewis defends companies across the country and locally in Ohio as both national and local counsel.

In asbestos litigation, she represents product manufacturers and premises owners who have been in business since the days when asbestos was widely used, and now find themselves defendants in lawsuits. In this and her other areas of practice, Nicole communicates closely with clients to develop a case strategy at the outset of a matter, through trial if necessary, and to help avoid further litigation in the future. Nicole also applies lessons learned from her asbestos litigation defense work to counsel manufacturers in other industries on product safety.

Nicole majored in religion as an undergraduate, and puts her liberal arts background to use every day as she learns more about her clients’ products and businesses, and explores the scientific defenses applicable to her cases. Her semester of law school spent at the bilingual University of Ottawa, in Canada, set her at ease among people of many different backgrounds, which helps her develop positive relationships with lawyers, judges, and expert witnesses to the benefit of her clients.

Outside of her law practice, Nicole’s favorite race is the 10K and she can be spotted in the occasional dance recital.
